Euro Media Forum presents Shakespeare’s Europe –-   Europe House on Friday 10th October at 6.30 p.m. Celebrating 450 years of William Shakespeare’s birth, the bard has undeniably left behind him a legacy of plays and poems that have not only been enjoyed by millions, but shaped the English language into what we know today. Speaker Martin Bugelli will delve into the works of this legendary playwright, from his beginnings, comedies, tragedies to his thought-provoking sonnets and how the bard and his plays are at the heart of European culture. Audience members will rediscover Shakespeare’s life, times, and the various European countries that played an important role in his plays. The speaker will also explore how despite Shakespeare himself never travelled abroad; his works have had a great impact on today’s Europe and the world

Martin Bugelli – Biography
Martin Bugelli is a graduate in English and with a Masters Degree in Mass Communications; he has held various senior positions in the Maltese Public Service. He currently presents Toghma ta Shakespeare (Taste of Shakespeare) on Campus FM.
