Short Films by the Sea
Short Films By The Sea NAAR Restobar, St Julians on Wednesday 28h October at 7.30 p.m.
Short Films By the Sea brings a new concept to open-air cinema: instead of rolling up in your car, as with the drive-ins of yesteryear, you get to lounge around on the pool terrace as an eclectic programme of films unfolds in front of you.
In collaboration with the Concorto Film Festival in Piacenza, Italy, the CFF team has prepared a selection of some of their best shorts that will be screened for the very first time on the night. Presented by Antonella Axisa, Short Films By the Sea celebrates how short film cinema is an escapist jaunt to another world and a screening platform for both up and coming and established film-makers to showcase their work, network and exchange ideas. It provides a great opportunity for the audience to discover the best material coming from across a wide range of genres and styles from the contemporary independent short film scene, and in the most inclusive way: from narrative to experimental; documentaries to animation and also music videos. It is a unique alternative distribution, exhibition platform as these films don’t get to cinemas or to TV, and here the audience is given the opportunity to vote for the best film.
Entrance is 10 euros and includes wine and canapés including free popcorn. For bookings please email euromediaforum@gmail.com or text to 99454066. For event details visit https://www.facebook.com/Euro.Media.Forum
